

This gem is endemic to the small volcanic islands of Aneityum and Tanna in Vanuatu, where it grows in light, moist forests. It forms a slender trunk up to 20 m tall, crowned by a green crownshaft and a spreading crown of elegantly curved leaves with approximately 40 broad, upright or drooping leaflets. It grows very quickly and is a very rewarding palm for the humid tropics or as a house palm
