Dypsis onilahensis "Drooping leaf" (syn. Chrysalidocarpus o.) - Onilahy-Palm

A beautiful palm tree growing in the area around Isalo in Madagascar. The elegantly drooping leaflets are typical of this relatively small, multi-stemmed species. Recent discoveries and research have revealed that there is another "onilahensis," referred to as "stiff leaves," which differs in several characteristics from the previously designated "onilahensis." These are presumably two different species—we'll see which taxonomy is adjusted.
