This is a multi-stemmed palm that has so far only been found in a single location in the forests of Trang Province in southern Thailand. It grows to about 4-5 meters tall. The fascinating thing about this palm are its very unusually shaped leaf segments, which are somewhat reminiscent of a hand. The surface of the leaves is glossy dark green, while the underside, like most Arenga palms, is silvery. It is presumably a species that has not yet been discovered or described. Nothing is known about the cultivation of the plants.
